The "Trade Fair Assistance for Georgian SMEs" programme helps Georgian small and medium-sized enterprises boost exports to the EU and European markets through structured participation in international trade fairs and B2B events.
Funded by the European Union and implemented by Visionest Institute — a contractor of ESTDEV (Estonian Centre for International Development) — with support from UNDP Georgia and in collaboration with Enterprise Georgia.
Visionest Institute delivers export readiness assessments, market selection guidance, trade fair preparation, on-site coaching and post-fair follow-up so Georgian SMEs turn fair contacts into sustained international sales.
The programme was officially launched on 10 September 2024 at the Wyndham Grand Tbilisi Ballroom. Opening remarks were given by Nana Ramazashvili (Project Manager for Economic Development and Trade, EU Delegation), followed by Giorgi Tsimintia (Project Manager, UNDP 'Inclusive Access to Markets') who outlined the programme's goals, and Nika Mamukelashvili (Head of Export Department, Enterprise Georgia) who presented the 2024–2025 trade fair calendar and the Individual Expo Grant programme. Anu-Mall Naarits, CEO of Visionest Institute, introduced the programme and led afternoon workshops on navigating international markets.
Implementation period: 18 April 2024 – 30 July 2027. Total budget: €519,000.
