Grow Global is looking for exporting companies and specialists with an international background. Info days take place on 18 and 26 August and 4 September 2026.

  1. Estonia's exports aren't held back by a lack of ideas, but by a lack of people who can sell.

  2. An experienced specialist's biggest asset isn't the CV — it's the network and the instinct for building trust in a foreign market.

  3. Companies get someone who has already sat at a negotiating table abroad. That can't be trained in a month.

  4. This isn't training for training's sake: the goal is a real job in a real exporting company.

  5. At least 46 people will complete the training and around 60 exporting companies will take part — small, but very deliberately targeted.

  6. An info day is the simplest way to find out if this fits you: one hour, no commitments.

Estonia''s economic growth depends on exports, yet companies are short of people who can actually sell abroad. Input costs have risen, supply chains and markets have shifted, and export sales specialists — people who combine language skills, an international network and the patience to build trust — are rare on the labour market.

At the same time thousands of capable people aged 55 and over are pushed out of the labour market by attitudes rather than by skills. This age group holds exactly what export sales requires: strong English, international experience, a management background and credibility in negotiations.

What Grow Global is

Grow Global connects the two needs. Companies and candidates are recruited in parallel; at a matchmaking event the company chooses its own candidate, and over the following months that person is trained specifically for the company''s export need. A mentor with international sales experience supports both sides through the first months in the new role.

The first group starts in September 2026 and the programme runs until January 2028. It is implemented by Visionest Institute with support from the European Social Fund+, on a budget of €197,938.

The ambition is deliberately concrete: at least 46 people should complete the training, and at least 40% of them should be in a job during the programme or within six months of finishing it. Around 60 exporting companies are expected to take part.

What a company gets

  • The chance to pick its own export sales specialist at the matchmaking event.

  • Training tailored to the company''s specific export target and market.

  • Mentor support while the new person settles into the role.

  • Practical assignments that tie the training to real sales work.

Conditions for companies: registered in Estonia and exporting or export-ready; turnover from €600,000 preferred; ready to employ the specialist chosen during the programme.

What a candidate gets

  • Training in export sales and a direct route to a specific employer.

  • A mentor with international sales experience.

  • A long-term role where prior experience, contacts and languages are an advantage, not a footnote.

Conditions for candidates: aged 55 or over and living in Estonia; higher education; English at C1 level; at least two years of international work, study or living experience.

How joining works

  1. Register for an info day or leave your details on the contact form.

  2. Fill in the fuller application (company or candidate).

  3. An interview with the programme team.

  4. Matchmaking — company and candidate find each other.

  5. The training programme with practical assignments.

  6. Starting the new role with mentor support.
